Karen Pinoci

After battling aggressive cancer with patience and dignity, Karen Pinoci peacefully passed away on April 10, 2018. 

In the words of her longtime friend, Claudia Lemmerz, "It is Karen's wish that there will be no funeral or memorial service. She will be cremated. Karen wants you all to celebrate her life by making music with people you love and respect. She will always be amongst us...

Please share this message widely. It is impossible for me to reach every single person in the tri-state area and beyond who knew Karen. And don't cry. Celebrate! Smile and laugh and remember the years of music making with Karen. Remember her humor, her youthfulness, how inspiring she was and how much fun we all had. Making music will be the best therapy for all of us. Dedicate a piece or a concert to Karen (please don't forget to invite me) and play your hearts out!"
